Friends, It has been a while and things have been super crazy around here. Noah just finished school. He graduated to the 5th grade . On the last day of scool he received 3 awards. So proud of him. We did a birthday paty for him almosta month after his birthday .That should tell you how crazy things have been  iusually never wait that long to do his birthday party. But we had no choice this year and he was fine with it.  One of my goals for this year is to become a design team member. But not just for any blog. Picky  iguess.. jsut as the Design Team blog owner should be as well. As I said  Ihave tons of photos to post of his styled party and I will be adding them very soon. This will be the first in my portfolio of parties. I guess  Iwill have to go backwards from his tenth birthday back and the parties  ihave done for others there as well but for right now here is the backdrop for my entry into the design team and link up at Patches of Pink.  Thanks for looking and wish me luck. For the Kiddos Blog Hop Info

Hi Ladies, stopping in this morning to say a few things. One, Thank you so much for stopping by to comment on the For the Kiddos Blog Hop yesterday. Weren't all the ladies in the hop so very talented. Laura Cline of Making Things Pretty organized the hop and did a great job. She has informed us that for blog candy that Crafty Moms Stamps is offerering a stamp set for hopping along and commenting. A stamp set of your choice. So isn't that a really nice treat.??. I am offering blog candy and will be doing the drawing at weeks end as  I am featuring Elmo all week long because that was my sons birthday them when he turned one and is turning ten this  Sunday. So to be clear I  made cookie pops yesterday that in the picture look quite small but they are not. They are huge and in the picture at the bottom of the post you can see the COOKIE POP Wilton pan I used. It is a 3 inch cookie but ours turned out to be a good 4-5 inches or bigger. I put way too much dough in the form. So about half full will do if you are going to be making the cookies. Do not fill the form to the rim but if you do want hearty cookies like those then feel free to fill it up. I myself would have used a biger stick such as a popsicle stick. With that said when making cookie pops the stick can ruin the integrity of the cookie. So although they held up fine, you have to be really careful and not mess with the cookie stick at all and try not to handle the stick when decorating the cookie. 3. Some people asked what tip I used. it was the grass-hair tip from Wilton. and finally I am making cake pops too this week and that is what I will be offerering as blog candy. The actual ingredients to make the cake pops. Decorations and all. So the popsticks,candy melts in red and the facial decorations ect along with the recipe for making cake pops and technique for making Elmos fur. I think The hop went great and again thanks s to Laura Cline for organizing it although she had so much on her plate ,she did a wonderful job organizing the whole thing Would love to hop with her again. Oh yeah one more thing. If I reach my goal of 220 plus followers this week Elmo's Party cart up for grabs. Havea great day and come back later and check out my Elmo project for the day.

For the Kiddos Blog Hop

for the Kiddos blog Hop Elmo Cookie Pops. Over 4-5 Inches. Used Red White and Black Butter cream with a grass tip for Elmo's fur. I will be doing Elmo posts all week. I so love this cart and this was my son Noah's first birthday theme He will be ten this weekend. So while I am planning his big boy party I decided that I would take a walk down memory lane and do Elmo posts all week. The pan for these cookies can be found at any place you can find wilton pans and not just for cookies. Last year I used them to mold rice krispie treats to decorate as baseballs with each childs name on it. I think I used a little too much cookie dough.With frosting I beleive the ookies each weigh a good 12-14 oz almost a lb. The cookies turned out huge. Half the amount would have worked fine but my son thinks that the size is perfect. Bigger cookie more frosting yummm. Thanks for looking. I will post cake pops too this week .My blog candy for the week all though this is a one day hop will be everything you need to make Elmo cake pops. Thanks and Technical Difficulties

Hello bloggy crafty friends. You all are so awesome for all the hard work and help sending new followers my way to my blog. Wow I almost did not think I was going to make it but with friends like you what was  I thinking?   You all worked so hard to get new viewers to my blog . I wish  I could give something to each of you.  Hey maybe one day right??? I have all these new followers now and am so excited. Most or some of you know my content will be changing and I am so hapy about that. There is not much content  and some know why and some of you do not. My blog is really new. Well really since mid February of this year. I have made some things and posted only a few picks of them. I have so much more to post. I will post them before the blog changes direction. This last year and the time I have spent recouping has almost been a blessing. It has really made me take stock and really really realize where my passions lie. God, my two favorite men(hubby and my lil Noah) Not so lil anymore he is having a big milestone birthday in May.Where does the time go? I feel like he was just born. Well most daysLOL!!!!!

 Well on to the contest. The contest rules were to just follow. All you had to do to win was follow. For more chances at winning you had the opportunity to link the contest on your blog or on fb or send some people my way for more chances to win. Pretty simple . Well Cricut Chick and Paula QuickDriver pretty much tied for first place. My intentions were to give out two prizes but like I stated  Iwish I could give to all of you. So Cricut Chick and Paula know whats coming their way. CCis getting Pearl ex powders and chose a Pooh Font Cart from Custom Crops. Paula is receiving Pearl ex powders and a stamp set of her choice from Sarah Pink Cricut's line of stamps PBD. For the random follower they will recieve also a set of  pearl ex pigments and random .org is acting crazy wonky on my blog. So that is why WE do not have the winner of that portion of the contest. As mentioned I stated  I was going to give the most refferal person the two items and the random follower a set of the powders but  I had so many that helped out and the two ladies tied I felt it only fair to give to both o them. I did mention when  I extended the contest an extra 12 hrs that there would be a surprise in store and that surprise was a cart and that is what Cricut Chick chose instead of a stamp set. So you never know what you might get when  I run a follower contest. Easy peasy kind of contest .Just by being a follower you havea chance of winning and referring and having your referrals comment who sent  them helps me chose the winner. Yeah Yeah Yeah, We did it. Thanks so much for coming on over . At least you all know I exsist even though I do not have to many projects up on my blog you came on over and showed the support. Woot We made it!!!! You did it!!!

Thank you so much for all your support in helping me reach my goal. You all did it. And it really shows how supportive we can be of one another. I know some of you have a huge competetive streak in you and there is nothing wrong with a woman who goes after what she wants and who helps others reach their goals as they try to reach a goal themselves. 160 as  I count right now Paula, CricutChick,Gloria,and Deanna,  in no certain order are in the running for the referral contest portion that will have a stamp set of your choice.Well now not  that  I am not happy that I reached 150 ,in fact I am super excited how you all pulled through for me and knowing that  I do not have much content on my site with my blog still being fairly new. Ive been MIA and changes

Hello my lovely, bloggy, scrappy friends. I have been MIA the last few weeks. So many people have emailed to see why and I can only say it has been super duper busy around here. I have had some sick people in my house , spoken with some of my fellow crafters about expanding some of my ideas on what I want to incorperate into my blog and have been planning with a new frien on some super cool fun stuff. Paula Quick Driver lives about an hour from me. She is quite the crafty girl.  We have spoken via fb email and phone and are trying to make plan together to have a ustream and do some videos.  I'm so very excited about that.  So many things to talk about.
 I have an idea for my blog that I'm am wanting to try out. I want to have a theme  for each day of the week or certain days of the week and feature different ideas.  Such as using the Cricut Cake for cake and cookie decorating one day. Matching party decor and invite the next day. Throw in a challenge on another day and so on. I have had people asking me to do lots of party stuff for them and I am so flattered.  I just love a fun birthdya party.  I love the coordinaing the planning ,the cake the food the fun and most especially all the little details that make it all come together.  So I think instead of this just being a place to share all things crafts  I would really love to bring some party fun to this blog. I will be posting pics soon of past parties and also things I think would make fora great theme.  I would love for you to share your ideas and what has and has not worked for you in the past.  So heres to partying and papercrafting.  I so hope you all will continue to enjoy .

Hapy Monday everyone.  Did you have agreat weekend?  Is it still cold where you are living?  We here in NC have had beautiful weather since right around Valentines Day.  Wonder if that weather is going to stick around.  It brings to mind that I need to get off my rear  and do a little working out. As Spring approaches it always reminds you, well at least me that  I need to get moving.  Time to start taking out the spring clothing that you have packed up for the Fall and winter seasons.  A little more skin will be showing and  that means tone up for me.

Let's see what else can we talk about?  The dog is fed. Yeah ,Noah is in School.  No day off for him like the other children.  Are your kids off for President's Day?  HMMMMM  Oh yeah do you want to know who won the challenge/contest?  O.K. that is what we will talk about!!!!!!

I feel so blessed

So  Isee you all have been very, very busy making cards and projects and wow, the competition is great.  All very talented crafters .  The submissions so far have been so outstanding .  It is not quite quitting time so you still have a chance to put in your card and your answers to the question.  Well I feel so blessed to have come as far as I have this week.  Not just because the amount of follwers that I got ut because of the quality of the people who became followers this week.   I have made some new friends, chatted with older friends and even got some phone calls from some new followers.  At first  I was so set on getting those 150 people to my blog.  Then I realized it was not so important to have that many people at once.  It would have been nice but I am so happy with the blessings I have been blessed with this week.  This contest and this week ,a very special week as some of you may know, has really taught me so much.  One thing that comes to mind is that it is important to stay connected with the following you do have.   I do owe some of you an email.  I am trying to get this blogging thing down.   I will be in contact with you all,so please do not feel neglected.  You all are what makes this site so much fun and I want it to be a fun place where you can come and share your creations whether there is achallenge or not.   With all of that said all of you have really made me feel special and blessed by chosing to follow me when you could have not .  I am going to announce the winner/s tomorrow. Hello friends, I am so super excited for a few reasons.  Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday.  What is everyone up to today?  Are getting your scraprooms organized ,hanging with the family or just getting caught up on come of your crafting projects?
  Well I can tell you I am so excited to see so many people coming by to visit my page.  I am super excited that in just a short time this week I have gained so many new scrapping friends.  Your cards and creations are gorgeous and I am so super excited that you all are putting up your guesses for  answering the question .  Where did my two cuts come from on my lady bug card.  As you can see I extended the date for the 150 followers .  I did not get my linking tool up as fast as I wanted to because I could not decide on which product I wanted to go with.
You still have time to enter the card challenge.  That ends this evening.  Because I was not clear on where to put your answer and why that would cause issues there will be another prize.  So that makes 3 total prizes.

I am changing end date For DOODLECHARMS Give away

Hello friend, in all fairness since I  did not chose my linking tool  until Wednesday of this week, I am changing the end date for the pink,green and black card challenge until Sun evening.  You may use any cartridge you like and if you have none,just use the color challenge.   I want to make it fair for everyone.  Also can you guess what wo cuts  I used to make my ladybug card?  The person who makes a card and makes a correct guess wins a brand new DOODLECHARMS.  If  I make it to my goal of 150 followers by Sunday I have a super sweet secret surpise for that too. some join in on the fun.  I hope to see your creations all over the page.  Thanks for stopping by and following.

Oh how I just love my new blog and the special person who created it!!!!

I must say that I am loving my new blog and Kari of KariandCo. in Dallas ,Texas.  She is amazing at what she does and I am forever grateful for all her hard work and dedication in developing this place where I can come and share my LOVE of all things crafts.  What a wonderful platform in which to share the thing you love to do most.  It has been wonderful therapy for me this past year.  Some of you know why and I will leave it at that.  Kari girl you rock. Check her out. DoodleCharms Clarifications - And - Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone - I am glad to see your stopping by to see my posts from yesterday.

To be clear on some things, I am going to restate some things because there is a little confusion.  I am known for causing confusion... but not on purpose. Please forgive me if I have confused you.

I officially started blogging YESTERDAY and since the Valentine's holiday was coming up - and this past weekend marked a very special day in my life (some of you know what that is, and for now, I will keep it at that...) I decided to do a contest in honor of all those things.


For the contest I am giving away a DoodleCharms Cartridge for the Cricut.

To enter the contest, you must:

1: Guess the two cuts I used for the card posted with the lady bug on it. The two cuts are the lady bug and the green layer under the ladybug. What cart/s did those cuts come from? Post the answer in the comment section below.

2: Then, make a card using pink, green and black. You do not have to own a Cricut machine to make your card and if you do own a Cricut, you can use any cart you wish as long as you use the stated colors. Upload a picture of your creation below!

3: Then, become a follower and subscribe to my blog!

There will also be a second prize if I meet my goal of 150 followers by Friday of this week.

A Great Valentine's Day

I so hope that everyone had a nice day or evening with the ones they love yesterday. I had a nice dinner with my son and hubby.

My little boy tried lobster for the fist time. Quite surprising when he piped up and said he would like a lobster tail. I must say - there were no faces or complaints while he was eating it. He did a good job.

I received a few emails about Mr. Linky not being up - and although I had planned to get him up yesterday - it did not happen. I'll get him up so that I can see all of your wonderful cards and creations.

You have until Friday of this week, and I'll draw based on the correct answers and also - a second prize for making it to 150 followers. All of the instructions are in my February posts. You can find the button for those on the lower left area of my page.

Hello my friends yes my first official post. I thought in honor of the holiday coming up I would a give away. It wil be a DOODLECHARMS CARTRIDGE. O.K for the giveaway, You must figure out what cuts I used and what cart or carts I used. Make a card using pink,green,and black. Leave a link to your card and comment on this post.
